National Outdoor Achievement Awards may be earned by a Scout who "demonstrates both knowledge and experience" in various outdoor skills. There are six areas of emphasis: Adventure, Aquatics, Camping, Conservation, Hiking, and Riding.
Each segment requires the Scout to earn the First Class rank, earn one or more relevant Merit Badges, and gain extensive experience in the subject area "under the auspices of the Scouting America."
From snorkeling to boardsailing, there are a variety of awards that can be earned out on the water.
Check out the Scouting America Awards Central page to learn about the many other opportunities avilable.
